Class : 6 Mrs G Hallett Term : Autumn 2008Language Classic fiction, poetry and drama including Shakespeare. Recount texts - biography / autobiography; letters, diaries and journals which recount experiences and events. Leaflets, non-chronological reports, journalistic writing. Mathematics - Use of all number operations in real life situations. Using and applying mathematics to solve problems. Halving and doubling, fractions. 2d shapes including angles, length and weight, grouped data. Science Topic - Interdependence on organisms including, food chains and webs. The human body, including the major organs. Health and fitness, including the effect of exercise and diet on health. Topic Studies Healthy Living
Japan and Wales
General Guidance P.E. will be mainly outside this term (Weds and Fri). Please ensure your child has shorts, tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt as well as trainers or daps that have not been worn as shoes that day. Also please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child's name. I am sorry but for health and safety reasons, we are unable to give out birthday cake. Parent's Role Please ensure that all children complete their homework and return it to school at the correct time. Spellings will come home on a Monday to be learned for Friday. Homework will be sent out on Thursday or Friday to be returned on the following Monday. Please read and if necessary respond to all letters received. If your child achieves in any way outside school please inform us so that we can celebrate that achievement. |
