PARENT GOVERNOR A position as parent governor on the governing Body has become available for which a ballot will need to take place. Being a member of the school governing body does require a great deal of commitment but is a very rewarding experience. Further details concerning this matter have been sent home with the children. All nominations must be returned to the school office as soon as possible. BREAKFAST CLUB The school’s breakfast club continues to grow in numbers and many parents make full use of this free resource. Caerphilly Catering are possibly looking to recruit supervisors to ensure provision continues at the school. Please contact the school office if you are interested in applying for any positions that may occur in the future. HILSTON PARK REFUND Due to a late reduction in final transportation costs – the school is able to refund each participant of the course held in December with the sum of £6. Please arrange for this to be collected from the school office. FOREST SKILLS Please note that Class 3 will being doing this next Thursday afternoon. Please could you provide your child with suitable clothing and wellies. REMINDER ABOUT LATENESS A number of children are continuing to be late for school each morning. Although we fully appreciate that occasionally this may indeed happen we cannot accept persistent lateness from a small number of children. As a school we are obliged to report persistent latecomers to the school welfare and attendance officer. Please make every effort to ensure that children arrive at school on time and line up with their class. Your cooperation with regards to this matter is most appreciated.
It has been a real pleasure to see all children looking very smart in their school uniforms at the start of the school year. During a recent review of the senior management of the school it has been decided that children should only wear standard grey or black school trousers to school and that jogging bottoms are no longer permissible. Your cooperation with matter is most appreciated.
